Peace Garden Almanac is an independent North Dakota publication. This page describes the site’s current setup, including the newsletter launch list.

When you browse

Cloudflare hosts and delivers this website. Its infrastructure processes connection information, including IP addresses and request details, to serve pages and protect the site.

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand page views, referring sites, device types, and loading performance. Cloudflare describes this service as cookie-free and says it does not track individual visitors across sites. Those aggregate measurements are separate from the email launch list.

The site does not currently run display advertising, advertising pixels, Google Analytics, or a store checkout. Fonts are served from this site. Article images are served from this site; following an image’s source link takes you to that source’s website.

When you join the launch list

The signup form asks for your email address so we can let you know when the newsletter is ready. Newsletter delivery has not begun, and joining does not send a confirmation email.

Launch-list entries are stored in Cloudflare Workers KV. New entries include the email address, signup time, the signup form’s source, and a record of the notice shown when you joined. An entry is not treated as a verified email address. Earlier entries may also contain browser information collected by the original signup form.

The signup endpoint uses your connection’s IP address to limit repeated requests. That address is not added to the new subscriber record. Launch-list entries currently have no automatic expiration. We do not sell the launch list or share it with advertisers.

Contact and removal requests

Email hello@peacegardenalmanac.com with privacy questions or to request removal from the newsletter launch list. For a removal request, include the email address you used to join. Newsletter delivery will need an unsubscribe process before it begins.

Cloudflare forwards messages sent to this address to the publisher’s Gmail inbox so we can review and respond to your request.

Links to other websites

We link to parks, museums, event organizers, archives, and other sources. Their websites have their own privacy practices. If we add affiliate links, paid placements, or a checkout in the future, we will disclose them where they appear and update this page to reflect the services involved.
